What is Intiendo Geocoding?

1

Geocoding is the process of assigning coordinates (latitude and longitude) to data containing references to geographic features such as addresses, points of interest and postal codes. [Read more…] With geographic coordinates the features can be mapped and entered into Geographic Information Systems. The geocoding process can either be manual or automated. Reverse geocoding is the opposite: finding an associated textual location such as a street address, from geographic coordinates. The quality of input data defines how much of the data can automatically be geocoded. The quality of the datasets used to geocode against further determines the quality of the geocoding effort.
